This blog follows the design, production and installation of a DAC energy efficient home on a riverfront site west of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
The building site is a 2 acre, well-treed waterfront lot in the West Carleton Region of Ottawa close to where the Mississippi River empties into Chats Lake - a widening of the Ottawa River that forms the head-pond of the hydro dam at Fitzroy Harbour. The property fronts on the South Ottawa River, known by locals as the Snye, a small
offshoot of the Mississippi that flows into the Ottawa River below the Fitzroy Dam.
